Heaven on Earth

An early website layout concept: illustrated angel artwork, a script logotype, a cloudy sky backdrop and a framed content panel.

A website layout mock-up: a cloudy blue and white sky, a "Heaven on Earth" script logo at top left, an anime angel with blue wings seated in the centre, and a dark blue content panel on the right with an under-construction message signed Neo Android aka Stuart.

About this piece

One of my first goes at designing a website. It’s a single-page layout concept rather than a site I can say for sure went live.

Looking at it now, the basics I still think about were already there: a logotype, an illustrated background that sets the mood, and a framed content area placed so it doesn’t fight the artwork.

The content panel says the site is “under construction”, signed “Neo Android AKA Stuart”, and the footer credits the design to me. The mock-up was planned for a real domain, but I’m showing it here as a concept.

The angel illustration is third-party anime-style artwork, not mine. My part was the layout, branding, background and placement of the content.
