Maxie

Maxie, my childhood border collie, on the patio beside a ball: a lightly edited snapshot.

Maxie, a black and white border collie, standing on a concrete patio and looking at the camera, with a white ball to one side and a metal mat in the foreground.

About this piece

Maxie was one of my dogs growing up, a black and white border collie, and I loved that dog.

It’s a simple snapshot: Maxie on the patio with the ball close by, looking straight at the camera. I barely edited it, and I didn’t need to.

My other childhood dog, Jessica, is in here too.
